messing with sunlight
With this picture i was messing with the lighting. I really like how the lighting turned out on this one. What i did to this picture is changed the sharpness and i fixed the rotation of it. I also turned it black and white. I like this also.
I shoot with a Nikon D60 and I also have an Olympus E-1 that I shoot with. My Olympus is a full-frame and it is all manual shooting. I love it because I have a portrait (macro lens) that is absolutely amazing.
ReplyDeleteMy Nikon D60 is my most recent purchase. I like Olympus but wanted to move into the Nikon or Canon world. I also researched the Canon 40D but went with the D60 because as far as camera settings go they are very similar and the Nikon was less expensive. The lenses are versatile and you can find some good deals on those too.
I actually bought my D60 used from a guy who upgraded. I was weary at first but I got a screaming deal and an amazing Sigma F 2.8 lens package for under $500.00 with memory cards! You can't beat that!
I learned on a Olympus Evolt 300 and Evolt 500 Series camera which I sold for the Nikon package.
My advice is that you really can't go wrong with either the Nikon or Canon. My Nikon is incredible and I LOVE IT!!! I am sure the Canon would be just as wonderful. If you are learning photography buy a camera like the XTI and invest in higher quality lenses. Lenses are the most important part of a camera. I took just an amazing quality shots with my Evolt 300 ($300 camera) as I did with my Olympus E-1 camera (1,100 camera just for body alone). I also would buy a camera that offers quick point and shoot options which come in handy but also that offer manual modes too.
I also use Photoshop Elements and another software program called Nik Color Efex that integrates with Photoshop. It is an absolutely AMAZING software program and I use it for almost ALL of my photo editing. I prefer it over Photoshop editing. But it is all personal preference !
I wish you the best of luck. I hope you find the camera right for you! Someone suggested to me to go to the camera store and personally hold each camera to see which one I liked best. So that is another option you can try!
